Ambulatory Care Overview

The Ambulatory care guidelines are intended for patients being managed on ambulatory pathway, and NOT requiring inpatient treatment. If the patient has signs of septic shock, please see the Sepsis guidelines

NB:

• HIV testing is opt-out for ambulatory patients
• For frail patients consider referring to Infection and Frailty Syndromes
• If 1st dose is given intravenously, consider rapid switch to orals
