Adult

Chlamydial Conjunctivitis

  • All suspected or confirmed cases of chlamydial conjunctivitis should be referred to Sexual Health or when out of hours Micro/ID. 

First-Line Treatment

doxycycline 100mg po bd for 7 days 

Second-Line Treatment

azithromycin 1g po STAT then 500mg po od for 2 days

Alternative Treatment

If the above regimens are contraindicated contact Micro/ID for advice.
