Incidental Radiological Malignancy

Inclusion criteria:

• Imaging suggests a new diagnosis of malignancy
• Suitable for discharge

If both of the above are the case:

• Refer to the Acute Oncology Service
• In EPR, click Communicate
• In the To: section, type Consult Acute and press Enter
• Click Pool
• Select "Consult Acute Oncology"
• Double click to select this as the address
• (Right click to add to your address book for next time)
• Include a brief history and the information you have given the patient
• Ensure that
  • You have included which hospital you are referring from in the subject
  • You have included contact details of the patient
  • The patient knows to expect a call within 2 working days
  • That the patient knows that, if that haven't herd within 2 working days, to call the acute oncology service
