Thromboprophylaxis in Lower Limb Immobilisation - OFTEN Scoring

Please perform VTE risk assessment for patients being lower limb immobilised (e.g. using a cast, brace or splint) using the OFTEN tool, which is available at https://ouhnhsuk.sharepoint.com/sites/Pharmacy/Mils/MILV10N8.pdf?CT=1777033598651&OR=OWA-NT-Mail&CID=481e58ae-a980-8e2c-4415-8ce21223d6af&clickParams=eyJYLUFwcE5hbWUiOiJNaWNyb3NvZnQgT3V0bG9vayBXZWIgQXBwIiwiWC1BcHBWZXJzaW9uIjoiMjAyNjA0MTAwMDIuMzMiLCJPUyI6IldpbmRvd3MgMTAifQ%3d%3d

Please record the score in the notes, and prescribe thromboprophylaxis as appropriate - enoxaparin is the first line anticoagulant in this situation.

If you have a patient who you think may be appropriate for the TiLLI trial (which is most patients), please speak to the research team at the earliest opportunity.
